Microsoft IT Academy Program Advanced level members are entitled to one subscription to MSDN Academic Alliance (MSDN AA). MSDN AA is the easiest and least expensive way for students and faculty in the technology and design fields to get the latest Microsoft software that they need. MSDN AA now refers to a family of memberships that are available to meet the different needs of the academic audience.

Choose from the following MSDN AA options with your Advanced-level Microsoft IT Academy Program membership:

Developer AA
Get the latest Microsoft servers and development tools—over 300 titles in all! Developer AA is an annual membership for departments that use technology in support of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) courses.

Designer AA
Make the latest Microsoft Expression design tools available in labs, classrooms, and on student PCs at Art/Design schools and universities. Designer AA is an annual membership for departments that use technology in support of Visualization, Illustration, Design, and Art (VIDA) courses.

Note Institutions that subscribe to the Microsoft IT Academy Program through a Microsoft Campus Agreement or a Microsoft School Agreement receive one free membership to the MSDN Developer Academic Alliance (Developer AA) or Designer Academic Alliance (Designer AA).
