
Regional Imagine Cup final 2009 - Armenia
The Armenia Imagine Cup finals took place on the 18th May, with Tech Squad team taking first place
The competition brought together many high level guests, such as the new Minister of Education Mr. Armen Ashotyan, academics and students from several Universities, many representatives of the local IT industry and CAPS project representatives.
Beeline Armentel ICT sponsored the competition, and the General Director, Mr. V. Klimko, assured participants that their impressive presentations, combined with their creativity and skills, would secure many of them jobs in any Armentel subsidiary upon graduation.
From an initial round of 11 teams the jury selected four teams to participate in the final round of the competition, where Microsoft’s main objective was to foster creative ways to address the current real-world challenges, and to encourage young technologists to find innovative, appropriate solutions to them. This year’s theme is "Imagine a world where technology helps to solve the world's toughest problems." After the very impressive and interesting presentations the jury decided on the following winners:

The Tech Squad’s project was directed at the healthcare sphere. They suggested some methods on how IT can support and help IT users to improve their health problems by using a computer.
They prove that everyday computer usage is not always harming our health, but can be used for the good of our body as well.
