
Regional Imagine Cup final 2009 - Kazakhstan
The Kazakhstan Imagine Cup finals took place on the 18th May at the Kazakh-British Technical University in Almaty, with team ‘Ferrum Logic’ taking first place.
On May 18th 2009 the Software Design semi-finals of the Imagine Cup were successfully held in Kazakhstan for the first time.
The event took place in Almaty, at the Kazakh-British Technical University. Four teams from Kazakh State National University, Kazakh National Technical University & Kazakh-British Technical University took part in the contest.
Team “Ferrum Logic” from the Kazakh-British Technical University was pronounced semi final winner, having presented their project “Donations.kz”.
The main aim of the project is to help people contribute to a charity by developing a web application that automates the process of connecting people through social networks, accepting & transferring donations integrating both local & global payment systems and controlling the fund distribution. The application is build on ASP .NET & SQL Server 2008.
