Overview

The Windows Embedded CE Shared Source Premium Derivatives Redistribution (CEPDR) licensing program allows qualified OEMs to access, debug, modify, and improve Windows Embedded CE Premium source code. Additionally, OEMs can create and redistribute commercial derivatives of the Windows Embedded CE Premium source code for shipping in commercial devices. The source code is made available to facilitate the development and support of Windows Embedded CE-based hardware, software, and devices.

Criteria for Participation

To participate in the Windows Embedded CE Shared Source Premium Derivatives Redistribution licensing program, you must meet the following criteria:

and be the following:

  • Device manufacturer who has licensed over 5,000 Windows Embedded CE run-time licenses during the previous 12 months (acquired licenses can be any version of Windows Embedded CE to be eligible for access to Windows Embedded CE 6.0 Shared Source Premium) and:

and complete the following:

  • Sign the Master Source Code Agreement
  • Sign the Windows CEPDR License Form
  • Purchase valid Windows Embedded CE run-time licenses for your shipping derivatives

The Windows Embedded CE Premium source code is available through Microsoft Code Center Premium (CCP). Code Center Premium is a secure web-based repository that enables you to access the Windows Embedded CE Premium source code from any location.
