Watch Your Movies in Any Room
Do you use your computer to store home movies or to watch videos from an online store? Instead of being confined to the computer in your den, why not enjoy your movies on a larger screen in the comfort of your living room?

With the help of Windows Media Player 11, you can stream video from your computer over your home network to an Xbox 360 or other digital media receiver (DMR) that is connected to your home theater or TV. And if you’re running Windows Media Player 11 for Windows Vista, you can also make your video library available to other computers in your home that have Windows Media Player 11.

Share movies from Windows Media Player 11 to a digital media receiver, such as the Xbox 360, D-Link MediaLounge, or a connected TV

What you need

  • A Windows XP– or Windows Vista–based computer running Windows Media Player 11
  • An Xbox 360 or other DMR capable of video and audio playback or a network-connected TV
  • A home network (either wired or wireless)
  • Speakers (either standalone-powered speakers, or speakers that are connected to your existing home stereo system, home theater, or network-connected TV)
